Melatonin

The body’s own hormone, which is produced in the pineal gland, regulates the day-night rhythm and promotes sleep, among other things. Scientific studies have shown that melatonin inhibits natural cell death (known as apoptosis). The study results also suggested that melatonin is involved in the initiation of the early anagen phase of hair growth after the loss of telogen hair. It has also been experimentally proven that melatonin stimulates hair follicle growth. It also regulates the seasonal hair growth cycle, has antioxidant and protective effects.
