Coconut oil is extracted from the flesh of the coconut and contains numerous substances that make it an ideal natural moisturizer. It is also suitable for dry skin as it has a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and strengthens the skin’s barrier. Its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties are also valued. It also contains the fatty acids capric acid, lauric acid, myristic acid and palmitic acid.
